It can be a couples worst night mare when you plan for an outdoor wedding and mother nature just will not cooperate. Yet I have to give these two credit on best attitudes ever. Even with a last minute tropical storm, that rolled in the day before their big day, it did not dampen their spirits nor their ability to have an incredible wedding.
It would be my second time returning to the lovely Laurel Haven Estate a charming beauty located in Lancaster, SC and offers a “Gone with the Wind” vibe for brides seeking that classic southern feel. The large covered front porch with white columns worked perfect for a rainy afternoon to still get pictures outside and provide Kim with the vision she had for her day.
I loved hanging out with her and her girls as they got ready and enjoyed capturing all the special behind the scenes moments that make this part of the day so much fun. The groomsmen were also a blast to photograph, all of them in great spirits and making sure Jacob was cool and relaxed. The ceremony, which was performed by a gorgeous family member, made it extra special and their reception was all about special toasts, loving on friends & family and LOT’S of dancing. Everyone partied the night away (did I mention the dancing) in what was truly a fun filled rainy yet glorious wedding. Congratulations to Kim & Jacob Bechtel.
